Patient Success Stories
Since she was a toddler, we suspected hearing and/or processing differences with our daughter. At her preschool early intervention evaluation, the psychologist shared that Cora possessed many characteristics of APD. In first grade, we decided to pursue a hearing evaluation for APD. Cora received hearing aids midway through the school year. Her teachers and speech/language pathologist shared that Cora was a new student! She tested out of reading interventions and went from below basic to proficient in literacy benchmarks. At home, we notice that she’s more regulated and socially attuned. We’re so thankful for the recommendations, devices, and support for our girl on her APD journey!

When I met Dr. Elliot, she was really helpful and she gave me all kinds of tips and she gave me hearing devices that have helped me in school and upped my grades… I’m getting work done faster and it’s not that hard to focus and it’s easier to do work…. [Therapy] has helped me a lot with my memory and doing stuff in life and school… It’s hard at the beginning, and it’s a long drive but it pays off in the end.
